Hastelloy B3 is a modified version of the standard grade of Hastelloy. These have sufficient resistance to acetic acid, phosphoric acid, sulphuric acid, formic acid, and other non-oxidizing agents. Hastelloy has better average corrosion resistance rates as compared to other versions. One of the chief features is resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
