What exactly are Hastelloy C276 pipes & tubes?
Hastelloy pipes and tubes are basically versatile chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy that has enhanced resistance toward crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion cracking. The high amount of chromium offers appropriate resistance toward oxidizing media and reducing media. It even shows high resistance toward an aqueous environment that contains a mixture of nitric acid, and chloride acid. This is what makes it suitable for organic, inorganic and cupric chlorides solutions. Hence, it serves all beneficial purpose as claimed by the industry. .

Formation or creation of grain-boundary precipitates can be resisted by the alloy in weld affected zones thus making the alloy suitable for welded and chemical conditions. It cannot serve all the characteristics at 1250 degrees F during the detrimental phase formation.

They are ductile enough to be intermediate annealed, cold worked or work hardened. The forging can take place at a temperature range between 1750 to 2050 degrees F. The welding can be achieved through gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc or shielded metal arc procedures.
